Location: Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center
CTSO Advisor Responsibilities (evaluated at end of semester 1 and end of school year)
Maintain an active organization of at least six participants,
Create and/or maintain a completed set of chapter-specific by-laws which follow National expectations,
Conduct regular meetings of the organization at a minimum of two per month, excluding summer,
Accurately and thoroughly track participation of all members of the organization at meetings, fundraisers, and events,
Affiliate with the State-level CTSO organization,
Compete and/or participate in a minimum of one statewide event during each school year,
Participate in two community service events during each school year,
Have all travel, events, and fundraisers approved by the director at least 30 days prior to the event. Overnight trips require a minimum of 90 days notice to obtain school board approval,
Provide a roster of members, officers, and affiliated adults to the Director by 10/1 each year,
Ensure that all fundraising, public relations, social media, and publicly-visible campaigns are approved by the CTE Director and following District policies,
Ensure a program and schedule for the CTSO that does not conflict with more than 10 days of school (teacher and students),
Provide a summary of CTSO activities to the Director as requested, at least two times per school year (December & May).
