Introduction

The Corporate Health Consultant is responsible for managing and growing relationships between the medical scheme and key stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and high levels of client satisfaction. The role focuses on providing expert advice and support to brokers and corporate clients, driving sales growth, and maintaining strong, long-term partnerships within the designated corporate sector.

 

The Corporate Health Consultant will act as the primary liaison between brokers, corporate clients, and the organisation, ensuring effective communication, service excellence, and sustainable business growth. The role requires a strong focus on relationship management, sales, client support, and market engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities

Areas of Responsibility

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and corporate clients
  • Act as the primary point of contact for brokers and corporate paypoints
  • Conduct regular broker and client reviews to assess needs and identify growth opportunities
  • Provide expert advice and support on medical aid and healthcare solutions
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and resolve issues proactively

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate portfolio
  • Work closely with brokers and paypoints to drive new business growth and retention
  • Maintain and expand the corporate client base

Client Service and Support

  • Address and resolve client complaints and escalations efficiently
  • Assist brokers and paypoints with product queries, applications, and problem resolution
  • Ensure clear and timely communication with all stakeholders
  • Maintain a high standard of service delivery

Training and Development

  • Conduct broker training sessions and product presentations
  • Keep brokers and clients informed of new products, industry developments, and regulatory updates
  • Support knowledge sharing and product awareness within the corporate network

Reporting and Analysis

  • Establish and monitor individual performance KPIs
  • Provide regular performance and activity reports to management
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making
  • Provide feedback on market conditions, client needs, and product performance

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric (essential)
  • NQF Level 5 Wealth Management qualification or equivalent (essential)
  • RE5 Regulatory Examination (preferred)
  • 2–3 years’ experience in the private healthcare industry
  • Experience working with brokers and corporate clients (preferred)
  • Proven sales experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must meet Fit and Proper requirements as set out by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA)

Work Requirements

  • Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license required
