JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Systems Engineer is responsible for the planning, implementation and operations of the network attached medical device infrastructure for all Hospital facilities and corporate systems. This includes hardware and software deployment and continued operations of said systems. The Clinical Systems Engineer will be a key player in establishing long term goals related to end-user and clinician experience, and evolving technology. This position requires 2 years of integrated medical device integration and support experience. Meaningful experience integrating and troubleshooting GE, Philips, DICOM, Cerner CCE, FetaLink, Lantronix, Telcor, and/or others expected. May lead interdepartmental projects comprised of departmental data owners, engineers, and technicians. Educates medical and technical staff on integrated medical technologies. Leads quality improvement activities and suggests innovative solutions to technical problems.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Ungraduated degree in Information Systems or related field preferred.
Licensure: Network+ or CCNA certification preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years work experience with on-prem and hosted systems (preferably iCommand, Carescape, and/or a like MDI configuration and management tools) along with a support issue tracking system;
A minimum of eight (8) years work experience with microcomputers and an understanding of microcomputer application and networking software.
Hamilton Medical Center (HMC) would accept an equivalent combination of education and experience providing the candidate possesses the knowledge and abilities required by the position.

A technical and functional understanding of hospital and related information systems that will allow credibility in the eyes of hospital and HHCS management, end users, Information Services personnel, consultants and vendors;

Ability to work with and utilize to the best advantage the Hamilton Health Care System representatives of various vendors and consultants;
A mature individual with a strong sense of organization.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical office/information systems environment, subject to frequent interruptions, heavy deadline requirements, along with high noise potential and cool temperatures in the data/print center. The associate frequently works with sensitive and confidential patient and business information.
The individual must be able to do the following:
maintain control;
effectively establish and update priorities and exercise accurate judgment during high stress and peak workload periods;
communicate effectively with management, members of the staff, system users, consultants and vendors in order to complete their requests;
to lift, transport and install computer equipment;
maintain a flexible schedule required in order to accommodate unusual work schedules and other responsibilities.
