Position Summary:
​​​​​​​The EHR Analyst is responsible for supporting, building, and maintaining the NextGen Electronic Health Record (EHR) environment for VIP Medical Group clinics. This role ensures clinical workflows are accurately designed, implemented, and continuously optimized to support efficient patient care, accurate documentation, and data integrity. Working under the Director of Clinical Systems, the EHR Analyst collaborates closely with U.S.-based clinical operations, IT, and data teams to deliver scalable, reliable EHR solutions that align with organizational goals and compliance standards.

What You'll Do:
  • ​​​​​​​Configuring and administering NextGen EHR system components, including clinical templates, encounter forms, workflow engines, task automations, role-based permissions, and master dictionaries.
  • Executing software updates, patches, and environment enhancements in coordination with IT, vendor support, and change-management protocols.
  • Engineering and optimizing end-to-end clinical workflows by translating clinical and operational requirements into detailed EHR build specifications and configuration artifacts.
  • Implementing efficiency improvements through automation logic, standardized templates, macros, and structured data models to support high-fidelity clinical documentation.
  • Validating data quality and referential integrity across EHR, EPM, scheduling, and billing modules, and troubleshooting data anomalies and cross-module dependencies.
  • Partnering with Data Engineering to ensure accurate schema mapping and ingestion of EHR data into the enterprise data warehouse (Snowflake) for analytics, dashboards, and compliance reporting.
  • Enforcing HIPAA, security, and internal data-governance requirements across system configurations and data workflows.
  • Providing Tier 2–3 application support, performing root-cause analysis, resolving system defects, and managing escalations.
  • Developing technical training materials, workflow documentation, and system runbooks, and delivering platform training to clinical and administrative end-users.
  • Serving as a workflow and system SME for provider onboarding, clinic expansion, and new module deployments.
  • Collaborating with Clinical Systems leadership, IT Infrastructure, Product, and AI/Automation teams to support integrations with Medwork CRM and automation agents (LOMN, Prior Auth, etc.).
  • Participating in system-optimization sprints, workflow-standardization initiatives, data-quality improvement cycles, and clinical-technology pilot programs.

What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Systems, Nursing, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting or configuring EHR systems, ideally NextGen.
  • Strong knowledge of ambulatory clinical workflows, documentation processes, and medical billing.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional, multinational environments (U.S.–LATAM).
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with NextGen KBM templates, Document Builder, and EPM/EHR integrations.
  • Familiarity with HL7/FHIR standards, interoperability workflows, and API integrations.
  • Exposure to BI and analytics tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, and healthcare IT security standards.
  • Experience supporting multi-site healthcare operations.
