POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Support Specialist will travel to communities in our portfolio needing nurse leadership.  The role will be responsible for filling in where the Health and Wellness Director role is vacant and/or assigned to areas that need clinical leadership and support.  You will provide leadership over the physical, mental, and social health of our residents. In this role, you will build a caring relationship with residents and ensure their medical care plan is applied.  You will have the opportunity to know the residents and their families to guarantee open communication and promote a sense of well-being.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

This is a traveling position and will require the candidate to travel to any of our communities, across 8+ states.

*Expected 90% travel depending on home base.

  • Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision. 
  • Manage the coordination of care for residents, including the dissemination of information to families, staff, physicians, and third-party providers.
  • Perform pre-admission and ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and psycho-social needs.
  • Order medications and oversee the resident’s medication schedule.
  • Assure that all medications prescribed are available by auditing the medication records and cart twice weekly and ensure proper documentation for medication assistance administration.
  • Provide training, supervision, and monitoring of Medication Aides and/or staff nurses in the administration and documentation of medications. 
  • Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training through designated Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents.
Requirements

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 

  • Maintain a RN license issued by (or compact coverage) in all states of our portfolio (WA, OR, IL, TN, AR, AZ, NJ, NC) licensing agency and must have any other applicable certifications/trainings as required by state.  
  • Willingness and desire to travel regularly – likely 90% travel depending on home base. 
  • 5 years of strong clinical experience working in an assisted living, skilled nursing or hospital environment highly preferred.  
  • Exhibited knowledge of state regulations and compliance management.
  • Ability to lead within a culture committed to Ciel Senior Living’s foundation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
  • Must have strong understanding of the English language sufficient to read and write.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Walk/Stand – must be able to continuously walk and stand.
  • Environment Condition – must be able to perform work both inside and outside.
  • Sit – sit infrequently.
  • Lift - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Carry - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Push - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
  • Climb – must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if available.
  • Bend – must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips, and spine on a frequent basis; may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
  • Squat – must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 50 pounds or less.
  • Twist or rotate – must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
  • Reach– must be able to reach on a frequent basis. May occasionally reach overhead, requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating weight of 25 pounds or more.
