Clinical Support Partner (TEMPORARY) Outpatient Rehab/Admitting - Day Shift

Position Summary: Under the direction of the department Director the Clinical Support Partner (CSP) is responsible for the courteous, accurate and timely admission and discharge of all patients treated in the Outpatient Rehab department. Duties also include insurance verification and authorization, patient reception and scheduling, chart preparation and daily billing entry. Also responsible for clerical tasks, such as charge entry as assigned by the Director. Responsible for the efficient and smooth flow of the registration process; promptly recognizing and greeting patients/visitors; managing patient arrivals and informing the staff of the patient arrivals, ensuring that all patients are on time for their appointments. May be responsible for verification, pre-certifications, review board approval and obtaining coverage on all applicable outpatient procedures requiring certification, all other insurance or non-insurance categories requiring fax, telephone, or written approval.

Education: 

• High school graduate/GED. Medical Terminology preferred
   

Experience: 

• Bilingual English and Spanish required
• Recent medical office work experience with billing responsibilities preferred
• Computer keyboard experience and basic typing skills preferred
• Knowledge of all insurance including government, HMO’s and PPO’s preferred
• Must be organized, and have the ability to work in a high activity busy work environment 
• Communicates well with the public
• A team player with the ability to work well with others
• Works under pressure in stressful situations
• Takes direction from multiple providers and/or individuals
