Summary of the Clinical Support Coordinator
The Clinical Support Coordinator provides staff supervision and coordination of clinical programming at Hammitt School on Oglesby. Provides building-wide supervisory support as needed to assist with daily operations. Demonstrates an ability to apply trauma-informed principles and integrates them into daily practice. Communicates effectively and promotes collaborative problem solving by demonstrating care and respect in considering the diverse experiences and perspectives of others.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Personnel Management: Responsible for assigned staff, including employment, training, supervision, support, and performance feedback, including timely completion of performance evaluations. Provides coverage for cases as needed.
Program Management:
a. Leads the development and implementation of clinical and family services for the Oglesby campus in coordination with building administration.
b. Provides clinical supervision to assigned staff.
c. Directs staff in the coordination of crisis assessments, SASS/crisis team calls, DCFS calls, and involvement with community mental health services.
d. Coordinates and collaborates with clinical and family services needs with Hammitt on Willow and with other agency programs as assigned.
e. Provides clinical guidance and support through the use of social-emotional, executive functioning, and other clinical assessments to enhance student well-being and educational outcomes.
Recordkeeping: Compiles program and case related documentation, statistics, and reports as required. Assists in the collection and analysis of Hammitt Schools outcome data.
OFFICE LOCATION: Hammitt School - 612 Oglesby Avenue, Normal IL
WORK HOURS: Full-time, exempt position, 37.5 + hours/ wk, which may include some evening and weekend hours to accommodate families we serve.
PAY: From $65,680/ annually based on experience, education and certifications.
1. Master’s degree in social work or a related field.
2. At least three years of relevant direct service experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
3. Department of Professional Regulations or ISBE licensure required; LCSW or LCPC licensure preferred; Illinois School Social Work certification preferred.
4. Knowledge of human behavior and development, individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning and motivation.
5. Ability and willingness to travel for job responsibilities, including the ability to drive distances to enter the homes of families in the service area, a valid Illinois driver’s license that has not been revoked or suspended within the past three years, and use of a personal vehicle with adequate insurance.
