Overview

Performs various tasks to provide a well-supplied, safe and clean clinic environment. Provides nursing personnel with efficient and appropriate assistance with selected clinic needs, such as rooming, participates in low-level disinfection, infection prevention, maintaining examination rooms as well as performing various clerical duties within an outpatient care site. This position requires ability to work in a fast paced, detailed environment with an emphasis on multi-tasking. The CSA works with nursing leadership and M.A. leaders to improve patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as frontline representative of the clinic.Β 
  • Performs various tasks to ensure the clinic is well supplied including ordering and obtaining supplies, re-stocking supplies.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment by caring for, and cleaning clinic equipment, maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms, work areas, and keeping hallways clear of equipment.
  • Greets, checks in patients, and notifies appropriate provider.
  • Prepares patient, room and equipment for procedures and exams.
  • Answers telephone calls and assists in the overall functioning of the clinic
  • Delivers specimens to the laboratory and runs errands to other departments.
  • Maintains chart information that is up-to-date, organized, and in compliance with Health Information Services (HIS) requirements.
  • Participates in continuous regulatory readiness activities and employs safety standards such as repeat back, SBAR, and huddle attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent requiredΒ 

Required Licensure/Certifications
