Make a Difference

  • The Clinical Support Assistant initiates, assembles and maintains charts for patients. Records specified patient data in chart daily
  • Performs miscellaneous clerical duties, such as; answering phones or call lights; relaying information/messages; placing additional forms in charts; scheduling appointments, tests/procedures; and entering patient charges into computers
  • Communicates with other departments, patients, and medical staff
  • Frequently communicates with other departments to relay information, clarify information, and obtain supplies, request repairs

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications  

·        Three (3) to six (6) months of previous clerical/receptionist experience. Previous department specific experience helpful. Knowledge of medical terminology may be required for some areas.

  • Ability to use a computer for documentation and work related purposes
  • Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own actions
  • Provides service in a willing and courteous manner
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
  • Able to take direction well, but also be self-directed and motivated.
  • Requires a high degree of responsibility and responsiveness. 
  • Deal effectively with patients, visitors, situations, and other Care Team members, while maintaining emotional control
  • Technical ability to operate a variety of office machines
  • Ability to work well under pressure & organize work to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to do multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to take the initiative in work areas and work cooperatively with peers
  • Visual acuity to perform typing/computer entry
  • Strong computer hardware and software knowledge, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, and MS Outlook
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills & customer service orientation
  • Ability to work overtime if needed
