Senior Community Care of Kentucky is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 based on experience

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Objective:   The primary purpose of the Clinical Support is to facilitate the maintenance of the participant’s medical record, set up appointments and transportation, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. Prioritizes, organizes and coordinates activities to facilitate smooth, efficient operations. Manages and performs clerical and non-nursing administrative tasks for the department. Serves as the receptionist/communicator for the department. Manages inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment for the department

Required :

  • Education and Experience: High School graduate with Medical Assistant or CNA certification preferred.
  • Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic appointments, surgeries and medical consultations.
  • Compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence, using typewriter or personal computer.
  • Answer telephones, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
  • Receive and route messages and documents such as laboratory results to appropriate staff.
  • Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
  • Interview participants in order to complete documents, case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms.
  • Will make sure rooms are stocked appropriately and ordering list is up to date.

      Essentials: 

    • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
    • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.
    • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
