POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Quality Analyst supports Regent Surgical’ s mission to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered surgical care by providing analytical support to clinical quality, operations and patient safety initiatives. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing clinical performance data to inform strategic decision-making, identify trends, and support continuous improvement across the organization.
The Clinical Quality Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, compliance and risk management, field support, and center leadership—to ensure timely, accurate reporting and actionable insights that advance clinical excellence, patient safety, and operational effectiveness.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Analysis:
- Collaborate with the Analytics and Data Management teams to establish automated processes to collect, clean, and analyze clinical quality, patient safety, and operational performance data from internal and external sources.
- Create centralized, standardized clinical data within Regent’s existing Data Warehouse framework and guidelines to facilitate scalable company-wide reporting.
- In conjunction with the Analytics team, develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track clinical key performance indicators (KPIs), clinical outcomes, and safety events.
- In conjunction with the Data Management team, ensure data integrity and standardization across centers and reports.
- Quality Improvement:
- In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations (DCO), conduct trend and root cause analyses to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, often involving workflow design, process assessment, and solution development.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Partner with center leadership and clinical field teams to support data-informed decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including clinical leadership and other relevant teams.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Clinical Quality reporting infrastructure, including automation and visualization tools.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Support regulatory, accreditation and compliance reporting, including CMS, AAAHC, ASC QC, TJC and state-specific requirements.
- Ensure all quality improvement activities adhere to current clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements, including those from organizations like the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), AAAHC and The Joint Commission (TJC).
- Audits and Assessments:
- Conduct audits of patient care practices and clinical processes to assess quality and compliance.
- Assist in the implementation and tracking of enterprise-wide quality and safety programs (e.g., Culture of Safety, Back to Basics).
- Problem Solving:
- Identify and address potential risks, implement quality improvement initiatives, and help ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Provide support for internal and external benchmarking initiatives.
- Support clinical due diligence and integration data analysis as needed for new partnerships.
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in the development and monitoring of quality initiatives, audits, and action plans.
- Contribute to optimizing clinical operations, enhancing efficiency, and supporting the delivery of high-quality and safe patient care.
- Training and Education:
- Train staff on quality standards and participate in the development of policies and procedures related to quality improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to interpret complex clinical data.
- Proficient in Excel, data visualization platforms (i.e. Power BI), and statistical analysis tools.
- Familiarity with ASC specific quality metrics, patient safety indicators and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Passion for improving healthcare delivery and outcomes through data and insights.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and tools.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Business, Data Analytics or related field required; Associate degree with 5 years of related experience.
- Three or more (3+) years of clinical quality, performance improvement, healthcare analytics, data analysis and reporting experience.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Business or Data field
- Two or more (2+) years' experience in an acute or ambulatory healthcare environment
- Familiarity with acute or ambulatory healthcare settings regulatory requirements
- Experience managing multiple projects
