POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Clinical Operations Manager oversees and directs the activities of a medical and healthcare facility, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, while also prioritizing patient care and quality. They are responsible for a wide range of duties, including improving patient care, developing systems and protocols, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.    


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides clinical oversight to the daily operations of the clinics  
  • Leading and managing a team of clinical staff 
  • Anticipates physician needs  
  • Addresses problems involving personnel, medical staff, and patients 
  • Defines the overall purpose of the clinics in accordance with organizational goals  
  • Plans with education department orientation and in-service training for staff members 
  • Responsible for on-going performance evaluation, guidance and development of personnel 
  • Ensures smooth daily operations and steady progress towards established clinic goals  
  • Responsible for cost effective programs  
  • Identifies problems and communicates solutions to appropriate personnel  
  • Keeps open communication with medical staff  
  • Provides opportunities for growth and development of clinic staff  
  • Holds staff meetings to provide opportunity for participative planning  
  • Responsible for overseeing clinical staffing at all locations assigned 
  • Provides direct patient care if needed 
  • Identifying opportunities to improve patient care and develop new protocols 
  • Monitoring patient conditions and managing their flow through the facility 
  • Ensuring adherence to patient care procedures and safety policies 
  • Managing budgets and allocating resources 
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures 
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards 
  • Managing audits and inspections 
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to improve performance  
  • Providing mentorship and support to team members 
  • Controlling infection and occurrence for patients 
  • Developing performance goals for the facility and staff 
  • Communicating with various stakeholders, including medical staff, patients, and external organizations  
  • Collaborating with other departments and teams to ensure smooth operations 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of work experience in clinical operations, orthopedics preferred 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Exhibit progressive professional development  
  • Demonstrates flexibility and reliability  
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve  
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectivity to chronic medical and social problems  
  • Ability to relate well to patients, families, co-workers, and physicians 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal 


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Typical clinical office and exam/procedure room environment 
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to clinical settings 
  • Frequent standing, typing, moussing, and reading paper and electronic documents 
  • Ability to file and track documents and data, both in written and electronic form 
  • Able to frequently stoop, lift carry and push/pull 15 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds
