Clinical Liaison

Help Youth and Families Find the Support They Need

Are you a compassionate clinical professional who thrives in challenging situations and enjoys bringing people and resources together? Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is seeking a Clinical Liaison to provide clinical consultation, crisis support, and care coordination for youth and families with complex needs.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted clinical resource, helping families navigate multiple systems, identify community-based alternatives to residential placement, and access services that promote safety and stability. You will also partner with Care Coordinators and other professionals to support high-acuity cases. 

What You’ll Do

• Educate youth and families about available program services, benefits, and expectations.
• Partner with youth and families to identify immediate needs, strengths, and concerns.
• Connect families with appropriate referrals and community resources, including during crisis situations.
• Complete intake activities, assess service needs, maintain a caseload, and document services and assessments in applicable databases.
• Provide clinical consultation and guidance to Care Coordinators working with complex, high-acuity cases and families in crisis.
• Facilitate and participate in clinical staffing meetings focused on safety planning, service delivery, and clinical oversight.
• Guide staff through the process of exploring funding options for residential treatment.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a closely related field.
• At least one year of professional social service experience.
• Current LSW or LPC license in the State of Ohio.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Strong planning and organizational skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services or a closely related field.
• Experience providing mental health case management services.
• Current LISW or LPCC license in the State of Ohio.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a hybrid position that includes remote and in-office work. Services may also be provided in client homes, schools, and community settings. Specific in-office days will be coordinated with the team and based on business needs. 

The schedule is generally worked within the assigned site’s standard operating hours, but may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and an on-call component to meet the needs of youth and families. The Clinical Liaison must be available on-site or through interactive videoconferencing based on the youth’s needs and within the scope of practice established by Ohio law. 

Local travel is required during the business day, with occasional out-of-area travel based on client needs. The position may also require lifting or moving items weighing up to 30 pounds.
