Clinical Liaison

JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Liaison will be responsible for development and implementation of educational and community relations activities which will support awareness and utilization of the rehabilitation program's services. The incumbent will also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina Nursing License or Licensed Therapist (PT, OT, or SLP)

EXPERIENCE:

• A track record of successful experience in a health care setting, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working with physicians, nursing management, discharge planners, case managers, and social workers.
• Clinical experience is preferred.

• Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare data systems
• Demonstrated working knowledge of:

o CMS regulations and IRF coverage criteria

o Medicare reimbursement methodology

CERTIFICATIONS/ LICENSES:

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Therapist (PT, OT, or SLP).
• Current South Carolina professional license in accordance with state licensure requirements.
