PRIMARY FUNCTION

 

This position supports the delivery of training and education to end users of the Regional Health Information System (RHIS). The role prepares training materials, maintains the training environment, delivers end-user sessions, and provides input and feedback to help ensure adoption and ongoing proficiency. This position contributes to effective system use through accurate training execution, within the framework of established training programs and methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE:

 

Develop training content, environment, and documentation

  • Prepares role-based training content and materials using established templates and guidelines. Collaborates with analysts and clinical informatics team to update materials as directed.
  • Regularly collaborates with appropriate Regional Lumeo systems analysts, operations managers, and local Clinical Informatics team members to incorporate feedback, and validate workflows to develop and update training materials.
  • Assists with building and testing of training environments and provides support and troubleshoots issues.

 

Deliver training and credentialing – Planning and supporting the delivery of training the trainers at partner organizations:

  • Trains and credentials end-users to ensure they can successfully use the RHIS.
  • Collaborates with other trainers by cofacilitating classroom instruction and assisting with exercises as needed.
  • Prepares training lessons, prints materials, and sets up the training room and environment prior to the training session.
  • Presents information verbally and in writing in a clear and easytounderstand manner.
  • Gathers feedback on the effectiveness of training and incorporates changes in the training curriculum or method as required.

 

Support Training Program

  • Supports training program to evaluate opportunities for improving and optimizing the delivery of training to end-users.
  • Supports implementation of the training program by monitoring delivery and providing feedback.
  • Communicates and escalates issues, as appropriate.
  • Leads and facilitates on-going team meetings.
  • Serves as a knowledgeable educator and identifies trends that may require additional training focus.
  • Manages projects by prioritizing them and by creating and adhering to timelines.
  • Identifies end-user related issues and concerns and communicates the same to Regional Lumeo system teams and local Clinical Informatics team for discussion and resolution.

 

Education and Learning

  • Maintains working knowledge of their application, workflows and common issues faced by end-users.
  • Learns new content and consults with subject matter experts to develop training materials and answer any participant questions.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of their assigned application and related workflows to answer participant questions and ensure accurate training delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-year college diploma in Business Administration or equivalent and related.
  • 3 years of related experience in training delivery, instructional design, or clinical informatics within a healthcare or clinical environment.
  • Strong training and instructional delivery skills, including classroom facilitation.
  • Ability to develop role-based training materials, guides, and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse learner groups.
  • Strong collaboration skills with clinical, operational, and technical partners.
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and incorporate feedback into training programs.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to support training environments and workflows.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple training initiatives/projects.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows and health information systems (RHIS preferred).
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and train others effectively.
  • Competency in performing needs assessments and identifying training improvements.
  • CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional), preferred.
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
