Description of Work

We are currently recruiting for a Nurse Supervisor III to be the Clinical Informatics Director at Central Regional Hospital. The primary purpose of this position is to provide strategic leadership for clinical informatics, including supervision of departmental staff and oversight of core operations. This position will shape the development and optimization of the electronic health record and related clinical information systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant workflows. Guiding organizational training strategy, change‑management efforts, and user‑support activities to promote consistent system adoption. Overseeing issue‑management processes and downtime preparedness for the electronic health record and clinical information systems. Represent the organization in governance structures, advancing workflow standardization, interdisciplinary collaboration, and informatics‑driven improvement.

Salary Range: $82,857.00 - $136,714.00

Recruitment Range: $122,000.00 - $127,169.00

  •  Possesses broad knowledge of clinical informatics, psychiatric and medical nursing practice, clinical workflows, and the regulatory and operational frameworks that guide clinical information systems.

  • Demonstrates expert proficiency with EHRs and clinical technology, supported by strong communication, collaboration, workflow analysis, and project‑management skills.

  • Able to lead system planning and optimization, translate clinical needs into practical solutions, develop targeted education, foster interdisciplinary teamwork, and drive data‑informed improvements.

  • Strong leadership, clinical informatics, and operational competencies, including staff supervision, oversight of core informatics functions, and direction of initiatives that improve clinical workflows and system performance.

  • Management prefers experience working as a Clinical Informatics Specialist or related position.

This Position Is Exempt And Is EXEMPT From Certain Provisions Of The State Human Resources Act (GS 126)

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

The normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; however, flexibility is required to meet hospital needs. This is full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement.

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of north Carolina and four years of nursing experience, including two years of experience in a Nurse Supervisor capacity.
