SUMMARY: At Hospice Savannah Inc., the Clinical Educator is a key leader responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of all educational programs for our hospice staff. This role ensures that our team possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the highest quality of care. Key responsibilities include conducting orientations for new staff and students, organizing in-service training sessions, managing skills labs, overseeing the online educational program, and facilitating ongoing professional development. QUALIFICATIONS:
Active RN license (state or compact)
Bachelor’s in nursing (Master’s preferred)
CHPN certification preferred
5+ years of clinical nursing experience, with hospice experience preferred
Proven leadership, administrative, and conflict resolution skills
Knowledge of Joint Commission, state, and federal hospice regulations
Experience in clinical education/in-service training preferred
Strong communication and teamwork abilities; able to motivate others
Proficient in Microsoft Office
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires moderate to intense visual concentration, reading, using a computer and reviewing patient charts. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills and professional demeanor. There is a moderate risk of exposure to infectious diseases, which may require special safety precautions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position works Monday through Friday with hours varying as necessary to provide adequate staff with after-hour requirements for attending meetings or functions. This position requires some commuting between the Hospice Savannah facilities utilizing a personal vehicle.
