Position Overview:
The Clinical Data Analyst will be responsible for transforming complex clinical, claims, and social determinants of health (SDoH) data into actionable insights that drive improvements in care quality, cost efficiency, and health equity. Success in this role will mean delivering accurate, timely analyses that directly inform SSCHOβs population health strategies and values. This role reports to the Manager of Data Infrastructure & Analytics.

- Analyze and interpret diverse datasets (clinical quality, claims, cost, SDoH) to identify trends and generate insights that guide care transformation initiatives.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable intelligence for leadership, partner organizations, and value-based care stakeholders.
- Partner with clinicians, program managers, and community health teams to define analytic needs, translate questions into data queries, and communicate findings in accessible, decision-ready formats.
- Support data governance by ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of partner EHR and MCO data.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A bachelorβs degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Data Science, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis is required, preferably in a healthcare or public health setting.
- Proficiency with healthcare data, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) such as Epic and claims data. Experience with Epicβs Clarity or Caboodle for backend data access preferred.
- Expertise with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data querying languages (e.g., SQL).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. You can turn complex data into compelling stories.
- Excellent communication skills. You can confidently explain complex data to technical and non-technical audiences.
- A deep commitment to health equity and community-driven healthcare models. You're motivated by a mission to improve health outcomes for underserved communities.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations, specifically HIPAA.
