Job Summary
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor rank. The position is an academic year appointment (9 months) with an opportunity to supplement salary during the summer. This will be a joint position with 60% time in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and 40% time in Environmental Health Sciences. The starting date is August 2017. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain strong and productive research program with extramural funding. Commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level and supervision of student projects and dissertation research in the department and college is further expected. The position includes 50% instruction, 45% research and 5% service; the successful candidate is expected to teach courses in epidemiology and environmental health at the undergraduate and graduate level. Student mentoring is also expected. Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must have a PhD or MD with expertise in the areas of environmental health or environmental epidemiology
