Position Summary
The University of St. Francis, a Catholic, Franciscan institution in Joliet, Illinois, invites applications for a nine-month, full-time faculty position as Undergrad Clinical Compliance Coordinator/Nursing Instructor/Asst Prof (Peds/OB) in the Leach College of Nursing, beginning August 2026. Rank will depend on the candidateβs qualifications. We will consider candidates who hold a doctorate in Nursing or a related field. Interested applicants with limited teaching or leadership experience will be considered and enrolled in the Faculty Mentoring program, designed to develop them into seasoned faculty. This aligns with the Franciscan approach to developing academics, beginning where they are and using transformative approaches to academic development. The position reports to the Dean of Nursing, provides oversight of the undergrad clinical compliance, is expected to collaborate on curriculum, assessment, and other academic matters, and teaches courses. Minimum Requirements
Masterβs degree in nursing Current RN license or eligibility for licensing in Illinois Two years of experience in clinical nursing practice Teaching experience in baccalaureate nursing programs Evidence of self-development through participation in continuing education offerings, advanced study, scholarly pursuit, and/or professional and clinical activities Willingness to uphold and fulfill the mission, vision, values, and traditions of the University of St. Francis Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
