JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

MCC’s Continuing Education Division is seeking enthusiastic and experienced non-credit instructors to lead travel-based community education courses to provide personal enrichment opportunities to members of our community.

This position focuses on designing courses that blend academic context with hands-on experiences. Instructors manage all aspects of course delivery, from curriculum development to executing local and occasional out-of-state trips, including educational tours of museums and regional destinations. Ideal candidates are educators motivated to bring learning to life beyond the classroom.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum and lesson plans tailored to students’ varying proficiency levels.
  • Conduct interactive classroom sessions
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Organize and facilitate travel activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in travel and trends therein
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.

This position will have random teaching opportunities throughout the year.
