Requirements

ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking dynamic TB Quality Improvement (QI) Leads to support provincial and district TB teams in strengthening programme performance. You will be responsible for embedding QI practices within routine delivery and building the leadership capacity of district TB coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

● Provincial Coordination: Support monitoring of End TB Campaign plans and facilitate alignment between leadership and partners.
● QI Implementation: Design and lead structured QI cycles (e.g., PDSA) in high-burden facilities to improve TUTT and linkage to care.
● Capacity Building: Mentor TB coordinators through communities of practice and support the rollout of national training programmes.
● Data Use: Promote the use of national/provincial dashboards to guide facility-level decision-making and ensure review meetings are data-driven.

You are likely to have:

● Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, Nursing, or Health Management (Master’s preferred).
● Sector Experience: At least 5 years of experience in public health programme implementation, with a strong preference for expertise in HIV and/or TB programmes.
● Systems Knowledge: Proven experience working within South African provincial or district health systems.
● Technical Skills: Ability to interpret complex health data and translate it into actionable facility-level strategies.
● QI Expertise: Practical skills and experience applying Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies within a clinical or public health setting to improve patient outcomes.
● Soft Skills: Exceptional mentorship, facilitation, and relationship-building skills to influence stakeholders across various levels of the organisation.
