Their first product — an AI medical scribe — is already used by over 20,000 paying doctors, generating 70,000+ notes daily. About the role:

Freed is looking for a Staff Product Designer who is fast, curious, and user-obsessed. Someone who thrives in collaborative, fast-moving environments and wants to create experiences that make a real difference in clinicians’ lives.

You’ll lead design initiatives across complex and ambiguous problem spaces, partnering with cross-functional teams to craft intuitive, delightful experiences that push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in healthcare.

In this role you’ll be:

• Dive deep into understanding clinicians and their needs, frustrations, and goals
• Design experiences that turn complex workflows into intuitive, delightful tools
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering to ship fast and iterate
• Conduct user research and translate insights into actionable design improvements
• Share work early and often, and give/receive feedback that makes everyone better
• Present your design decisions clearly to stakeholders and team members

About you:

• 7+ years of experience designing and shipping features across desktop and/or mobile platforms
• Strong interaction design skills informed by a user-centered mindset
• Visual design experience, including typography, layout, and UI design
• Ability to balance design craft with speed and impact
• Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  

Nice to have:

• Passion for healthcare and helping people (industry experience not required)
• Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations
• Prior experience in startups or high-growth environments
