The Opportunity

At Arc Infrastructure, we’re seeking a ‘superstar’ as an experienced Specialist Trainer and Assessor – Workplace Safety to join our Training Delivery team. In this critical role, you’ll ensure employees and contractors are equipped with the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work safely in a high-risk rail environment.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging, accurate, and compliant WHS and Frontine Risk training to employees, contractors, and stakeholders across Arc Infrastructure’s operations.
- Facilitate both classroom‑based and practical training sessions, ensuring content is relevant, accessible, and aligned with adult‑learning principles.
- Adapt delivery methods to suit diverse audiences, operational contexts, and learning needs.
- Conduct fair, valid, and reliable assessments in accordance with Arc Infrastructure’s competency frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records, ensuring evidence meets audit and compliance standards.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners to support skill development and safe work performance.
- Contribute to the design, review, and continuous improvement of WHS training materials, assessment tools, and learning resources.
- Identify emerging risks, trends, and training needs across the business and recommend updates to programs.
- Support the Lead Training Delivery in implementing new training initiatives and maintaining alignment with organisational safety strategies.
- Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with relevant legislation, including the Work Health and Safety Act (WA), Rail Safety National Law, and applicable standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, safety partners, and subject matter experts to ensure training remains operationally relevant.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding WHS competency requirements.
- Represent the Training Delivery team professionally across the organisation.
What You Bring
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Demonstrated experience delivering WHS training in a high‑risk or safety‑critical industry (rail, mining, construction, utilities, etc.).
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management principles, and safe systems of work.
- Experience conducting competency‑based assessments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Hold a valid ‘C’ class drivers’ licence.
Desirable
- Rail industry experience or exposure to rail safety requirements.
- Experience developing training materials and assessment tools.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.
