We are seeking a Senior Public Health SME - Unintentional Injury Prevention to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) in Atlanta, GA. The CDC is at the front lines of public health threats to Americans and serves the American public who rely on accurate data, health guidance, and preventive measures. The CDC also serves healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, businesses, state and local health agencies, and global health partners that rely on CDC for data and guidance to scale improved health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs and provides expert consultation on contracted subject matter.
  • Assist with literature reviews and developing manuscripts.
  • Assesses the organization's current state and proposal for a future state.
  • Facilitate implementation of appropriate change management initiatives.
  • Supports program in producing high-quality deliverables in time efficient manner.
  • Supports strategy implementation and management of support services in a specified field.
  • Provides expert analysis for development of specified field strategy and management of support services.
  • Creates structure for range of support to carry out smaller components of projects.
  • Coordinates multi-faceted program area. Develop integrated subject matter product and service strategy.
  • Lends support in building and sustaining successful cross-team structure capable of providing range of subject matter support services.
  • Provides oversight for multiple client engagements by managing several multi-faceted programs and creating an overarching vision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires licensing or credentials applicable to the assigned subject matter expertise and documented experience working at/with CDC, federal, or related public health entities.
  • Demonstrated experience providing expert consultation within public health or a related subject matter area.
  • Experience supporting literature reviews and development of scientific or public health manuscripts.
  • Experience assessing organizational needs and supporting future-state strategies and change management initiatives.
  • Experience supporting strategy implementation and coordinating multifaceted programs, projects, or support services.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across teams and providing oversight for multiple projects or client engagements.
