The incumbent for the position will assist with writing and editing proposals in response to various funding opportunities from federal and non-federal sources. The incumbent will work with individual faculty, post-docs, residents, students, and staff to develop technical and non-technical grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts, as well as other supporting documents. The incumbent will also play a key role in the writing and editing of institutional proposals, institutional responses to requests for information, and institutional reports and strategic planning documents for the research units.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in related field required. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university. Experience: 5-7 years experience in writing, editing, graphic design and layout conception or comparable experience required..
Preferred Qualifications
Education: A Master’s degree in a biomedical science or public health field. Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in writing and editing research-related documents i.e. technical publications, grants, and reports. Experience in using computers and various software packages, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, VISIO , Grammarly, etc.
