Description

Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health & AI. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution as an applied science leader to make it a world class science and engineering center with the focus on excellence.

In this highly strategic role, you will drive the design, development, and integration of state-of-the-art AI solutions into healthcare products as an applied science leader. You will collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering to shape the Healthcare AI roadmap and deliver value to customers and partners.

You will play a pivotal role in attracting top talent, and talent development within the team. You will lead by example in identifying and nurturing talent, engaging in regular career development discussions, and offering strategic guidance to support the professional growth of each team member. Your commitment to promoting excellence will ensure that team members have access to opportunities for advancement, while your advocacy for OHAI values will instill a sense of purpose and commitment throughout the team.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or related technical field with focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence.  
  • A minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
  • Proven experience leading applied science teams in AI/ML and product development. 
  • Strong background in recruiting, developing, and leading senior individual contributors (ICs) and building high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale AI/ML products.
  • Deep technical expertise in machine learning systems, GenAI/LLM model architectures, development/deployment of AI agents, and recommendation & ranking systems at enterprise scale. 
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, high-impact features or products from concept to customer adoption and operational stability. 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic technical vision with operational execution and customer needs. 
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels including with enterprise customers. 
  • Experience driving end-to-end applied science solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams, including engineering, and customer-facing roles. 
  • 10+ years of applied science or technical leadership experience, with significant recent leadership in AI, ML, recommendation systems. 


Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a high-performing applied science and engineering team dedicated to delivering high-impact AI products with AI Agents, GenAI models, and RAG workflows etc—within Oracle Health AI. 
  • Develop, retain and attract top applied science and engineering talent.
  • Drive science, engineering and operational excellence.
  • Define and execute the vision for next-generation AI services and products for healthcare. 
  • Evaluate, architect, and integrate emerging AI technologies—assessing their relevance, maturity, and impact. 
  • Establish best practices for scalable, secure, and robust deployment of GenAI powered services.
  • Shape technical strategy and influence the product roadmap by translating technology advancements and customer requirements into actionable applied science plans. 
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and customers to prototype and deliver innovative AI-powered products. 
  •  Represent Oracle as a thought leader in AI technologies both internally and across the industry.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
