Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Reviewer to support a non-profit organization in Lake Success, NY. This full-time, six-month contract role focuses on clinical reviews, appeals, and regulatory research to ensure compliance and improve patient care outcomes. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about healthcare advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical reviews and appeals, including chart screening, regulatory research, and documentation
- Prepare final determinations and complete necessary reporting in electronic systems
- Serve as a resource for clinical and administrative staff, including training and case clarification
- Participate in team huddles and collaborative training sessions
- Assist in ongoing process improvement and technical support

RequirementsQualifications
- Education:
- Bachelorβs degree in Nursing or graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program
- Licensure:
- Active New York State RN license required
- Experience:
- 1 to 3 years in utilization review, appeals, or clinical review
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Innovative, flexible, and able to meet deadlines in time-sensitive environments
