Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical reviews, including chart screening and appeal-level reviews
- Research and apply regulatory guidance and insurer requirements
- Complete electronic worksheets and prepare final determination reports
- Serve as a resource for training and technical assistance to clinical and administrative staff
- Lead or participate in team huddles and collaborative training sessions
- Support continuous improvement in review processes and workflow
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse in New York State
- BSN or graduate of an approved RN training program
- 1–3 years of experience in utilization review or appeals
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Team-oriented, problem-solving mindset
- Experience in a medical-legal review setting is a plus
