What we are seeking
A highly motivated and skilled process improvement engineer to analyze and improve our organizational processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, enhance quality and reduce product cost. The role involves conducting data analysis, using Lean/Six-Sigma methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Why we will love you
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, microbiology, or related field, MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience in a consumer products company preferably within the soft drink industry.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in process improvement tools and methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, Kaizen, 5S, Ishikawa.
- Proficiency in gathering, analyzing and interpreting data, often using statistical tools.
- Understands GMP requirements.
- Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and at all levels.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality.
- Leadership skills to guide teams and influence stakeholders.
What you will do day to day
- Analyze current business and manufacturing processes to identify waste, inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Create process improvement plans utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and SPC.
- Lead process improvement projects to boost efficiency, lower costs and improve quality.
- Lead Kaizen events to foster engagement with the continuous improvement process.
- Develop capital projects directed toward continuous improvement, determine ROI and implement projects once approved.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality and logistics to implement effective changes.
- Provide documentation, training and support to ensure improvements are sustained.
- Participate in root cause investigations to assure deployment of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Monitor plant metrics and report on effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Ensure processes comply with all applicable regulations, good manufacturing practices (GMP), site safety, environmental and quality standards.
