Part-time Student Research Assistant (several posts) in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health (Ref.: 533521) (to commence as soon as possible for 3 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance).

Applicants should be current undergraduate or taught postgraduate students in public health, medical or health sciences, or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua), and have good interpersonal and communication skills. They should also be organized, attentive to details, have strong sense of responsibility and be able to work collaboratively as a team. Experience in community-based research projects, outreach activities, and interest in infectious disease epidemiology would be advantages.  

The appointees will contribute to community-based studies of the epidemiology and transmission of respiratory virus infections in residential care homes and schools. They will work on participant recruitment, specimen and data collection, data entry, and perform other duties as assigned. Irregular working hours may be required occasionally. These posts provide an excellent training opportunity to those who are interested in public health research.
