Orthotic Fitting & Clinical Support Assistant (1 available position)

Location: Hershey, PA
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate Orthotic Fitting & Clinical Support Assistant to work alongside our licensed practitioners. This role blends clinical support, patient interaction, and technical precision, making it ideal for individuals with experience in orthotics, physical therapy, kinesiology, or anyone pursuing a career as a certified orthotic fitter or practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in fitting, adjusting, and delivering orthotic devices to patients

  • Ensure orthotic products meet specifications and patient needs

  • Educate patients on proper usage and care of devices

  • Support licensed clinicians during patient appointments

  • Perform basic repairs and assist with device modifications and fabrication

  • Maintain accurate records in the electronic health system (EHR)

  • Help with administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance communications

  • Follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to maintain safety and confidentiality

Qualifications

  • Required:

    • High school diploma or GED

    • 1–2 years of experience in a clinical, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting

    • Strong organizational and communication skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Preferred:

    • Associate degree in kinesiology, physical therapy, or healthcare

    • Experience in orthotics, prosthetics, or physical therapy

    • Interest in becoming a Certified Orthotic Fitter or pursuing a career in O&P

    • Familiarity with patient care environments and basic clinical procedures
