Ready to accelerate the impact of a breakthrough treatment across the Nordics? Seize a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact role driving innovation in rare disease care.
On behalf of Italfarmaco, Haeger & Carlsson Executive Search and Interim is looking for a Medical Liaison Manager to join their Nordic RD team at the forefront of a groundbreaking treatment for the neuromuscular disorder Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
The Medical Liaison Manager will serve as the primary field-based point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for providing non-promotional scientific/educational, research support for company’s products and to support development and implementation of the medical and scientific strategy and other key medical affairs initiatives in Finland and Sweden. The primary focus of this role is to establish and nurture a strong, trust-based network with key opinion leaders in the neuromuscular rare disease space—particularly Duchenne muscular dystrophy—and to lead impactful collaborations aimed at addressing the unmet needs of patients and their families through scientific exchange, clinical insight, and strategic partnership.
In addition to external engagement, this role plays a pivotal internal function, acting as a strategic cross-functional partner to teams such as Market Access, Commercial, or PAG. The Medical Liaison Manager serves as a key contributor to the development and execution of the medical strategy, ensuring alignment with both corporate objectives and the evolving needs of the healthcare ecosystem.
The position requires a focused, solution-oriented professional who is well-organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Responsibilities include identifying, developing, and maintaining long-term collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders and institutions, while also driving the implementation of medical and scientific strategies and ensuring effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.
The Medical Liaison Manager will actively support local market access initiatives in collaboration with the Value & Access Lead and serve as the local point of contact for Finnish Patient Advocacy Groups, working closely with the Nordic PAG & Communications Lead.
This position can be based in either Finland or Sweden and reports to the Nordic Rare Disease Medical Affairs Director.
