Job Description

Every potent medicine may cause harm. Preventing this is one of UMC’s most important objectives. At the Research department, multi-professional teams are working together to develop new methods that empower human experts in detecting new, yet unknown harmful effects of medicines.

If you are studying pharmacovigilance, medicine, pharmacy, nursing or medical/health informatics, and would like to work with improving drug safety in your thesis project, please reach out to us! Uppsala Monitoring Centre is a dynamic non-profit organization with the mission of improving the safety of medicines throughout the world. By managing and analyzing VigiBase, WHO’s global database of reported potential side effects of medicinal products, consisting of more than 28 million reports from patients and health care professionals in more than 130 countries, UMC has a unique role in detecting the adverse effects of medicines, for which it is recognized internationally.
