Description

We are searching for a Manager of Community Clinical Support.  Someone who will provide direct day-to-day supervision of staff with accountability for the clinical, operational and human resources activities associated with the Clinical Support Services within a Community Hospital setting. Areas of responsibility may include but are not necessarily limited to: Utilization Management, Care Coordination, Social Work, Language Services, Spiritual Care, and Child Life. Ensures and advocates for the delivery of high quality, developmentally appropriate, family centered care at the departmental level and throughout the organization by establishing collaborative relationships with Texas Children's leadership.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a clinical discipline aligned with their required license/certification 
  • Master's Degree Business, Healthcare Administration, Social Work or related field
  • 3 years licensed/certified clinical experience
  • One of the following licenses:
    • CCLS - Cert-Cert Child Life SCLST Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP)
    • MT-BC - Music Therapy-Board Cert Certification Board for Music Therapist
    • ATR-BC - Art Therapist-Board Certified Art Therapy Credentials Board
    • LMSW - Licensed Master Social Worker Texas Behavioral Health
    • LCSW - Lic Clinical Social Worker Texas Behavioral Health 
    • LMSW-AP - Lic Mas Soc Worker - Adv Pract Texas Behavioral Health Ex Council (TBHEC)
    • RN - Lic-Registered Nurses Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact Experience Req Pref Experience

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates patient care needs and collaborates with appropriate members of the health care team to achieve desired clinical outcomes and management of care across the continuum. 
  • Creates and facilitates adherence to professional and clinical standards among all areas supervised to achieve desired outcomes. 
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills with the care team and works to eliminate communication barriers. 
  • Serves as a liaison between physicians, families, nursing team and ancillary departments to ensure delivery of high-quality care. 
  • Maintains clinical competency by ensuring that the psychosocial and developmental needs of the patient are met, within a family-centered environment to promote safe and appropriate transitions of care. 
  • Coaches and develops direct reports to ensure the delivery of high -quality patient care and that they are abiding by all policies and procedures of TCH and their license. 
  • Ensures that staff work within their scope of practice and clinical license as appropriate.
