What We Are Looking For:

• Associate with 3–6 years of call to the bar in good standing in a Canadian jurisdiction, with at least 2 recent years of experience in labour and employment law and/or 2 years of recent experience with workplace safety regulatory matters:
  • WorkSafeBC Injury Claims
  • Occupational health and safety enforcement matters (inspections, investigations, penalties, orders, etc.)
  • WorkSafe BC assessment and classification matters
• Consideration will also be given to lawyers with other regulatory or quasi-criminal practice backgrounds including Coroners' Inquests, Workplace Occupational Health and Safety prosecutions, proceedings under the Mines Act or other workplace safety systems in Canada.
• A client-focused approach to legal practice
• Strong communication and client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent written and advocacy skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• A desire to grow your career in workplace law at our Vancouver office
