Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Healthcare Consultant / Software Engineer (Project Lead) to support and enhance healthcare technology systems. This role focuses on implementation, integration, and support of critical systems including EHR, Lab Information Systems, PACS, and Pharmacy systems, along with associated interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support implementation, build, testing, and go-live of healthcare applications
• Maintain and optimize health IT infrastructure, including applications, databases, and reporting tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve EMR-related issues, including triage and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with vendors, clinical teams, and technical staff
• Assist in workflow documentation for medical and mental health providers
• Develop and generate reports for management and end users
• Ensure smooth integration and performance of healthcare systems and interfaces

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Administration, IT, or related field
• 7+ years of experience with EMR systems (preferably NextGen)
• 7+ years of experience with Mirth (NextGen Connect) / Lab systems
• Strong experience in EMR integration and interoperability
• Experience with data transfer and healthcare IT operations
• Experience working with state government agencies

Preferred Qualifications:

• NextGen Connect (Mirth) Certification
• EHR Certification
• Practice Management Certification
• Experience with HL7 messaging
• Experience with FHIR standards
