About the Opportunity

We are hiring a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) to join our integrated primary care team in San Diego County, California. This hybrid role (remote and in-office) is ideal for a licensed Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC who is passionate about whole-person care, brief therapy models, and making a real difference in patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care

  • Provide brief, evidence-based therapy to individuals and families

  • Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Address co-occurring disorders and social determinants of health

  • Deliver crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and emotional support

  • Conduct “warm hand-offs” and collaborate on transitions of care

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with primary care providers to integrate behavioral health into treatment plans

  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement efforts

  • Maintain strong communication with providers, patients, and support staff

  • Contribute to a supportive, collaborative, and mission-aligned workplace culture

Regulatory Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Follow agency and licensing board protocols

  • Stay current on CEU requirements and clinical best practices

Qualifications

  • Current California license as one of the following:

    • Psychologist (PhD or PsyD)

    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

    • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, or adults

  • Experience in brief therapy, chronic care management, or integrated care preferred

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting

Compensation

  • Psychologist: $110,000–$160,000 per year

  • LCSW, LMFT, LPCC: $95,000–$130,000 per year

  • Salary is based on licensure and experience
