Job Description

The Healthcare Quality Data Analyst is responsible for Valley Health System quality data analysis and reporting to assist in the decision-making processes for Boards, administration, management, physicians and service lines. This includes but is not limited to being a Super User of the quality improvement data tool. The Healthcare Quality Data Analyst will be able to drill reports upon request, explain information contained within the reports and notify Manager of any data integrity and validity issues as they arise. The Healthcare Quality Data Analyst will serve as an expert resource within Valley Health System in regard to clinical outcomes by facility, service lines, clinical diagnosis or procedure and publicly reported data. The Healthcare Quality Data Analyst provides support to the Manager of Quality Analytics and team by ensuring the effective and timely delivery of information.

Education

BS/BA in Healthcare Informatics, Information Management, Statics, or related field required


Master’s Degree Healthcare Informatics, Information Management, Statics, or related field preferred

Experience

Five years data analysis and information management experience required


Two years data analysis in healthcare setting required


Previous experience risk-adjustment/benchmarking vendors required

Qualifications

Analytical and interpretive skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy required


Excellent organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously with changing schedule required


Effective oral and written presentations skills required


Ability to prepare concise written reports for variety of audiences required


Independent thinker with problem-solving aptitude and drive for further analysis required


Ability to work effectively in a team environment required


Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization (administration, physicians, executive directors, and staff) required
