Role Overview:
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks an experienced Healthcare Project Manager with a background in child welfare systems. This role will drive modernization initiatives for social services and Medicaid programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and state IT leadership.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing healthcare or government programs

• Experience with child welfare systems (any state DHHS)

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Proficiency in project planning, resource allocation, and budgeting

• Demonstrated success in managing application modernization efforts

• Preferred certifications: PgMP, Agile (PMI-ACP)

• Experience working with state/local government agencies

Key Responsibilities:

• Define project timelines, resource needs, and milestones

• Oversee project staffing and task delegation

• Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives

• Manage vendors and cross-functional coordination

• Monitor budgets, risks, and resource utilization

• Collaborate with State DIT to ensure security and compliance

• Communicate progress and issues with executive leadership
