This role is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Employees based in Utah are expected to work on-site Monday-Friday. Remote work may be available for candidates located outside of Utah.

Department: Healthcare Advisory Services - 955

Primary Purpose:

Provides laboratory consulting services to clients primarily for the purpose of guiding them in improving their processes and services.  Has direct interaction with clients and is responsible for providing various types of consultation as well as monitoring market environment and trends.

Essential Functions:

Lead and assist with laboratory consulting engagements with clients, with limited supervision.

Develop tools, programs, and consulting processes for developing consultative support services for clients.

Perform healthcare and financial data analysis as needed for client projects.

Implement tools, programs, and consultation for appropriate clients.

Make recommendations to improve consulting services and projects.

Conduct market research to keep current with trends in the laboratory industry and topics relevant to consulting services ARUP offers.

Participate in Sales presentations and conference presentations to describe and promote Healthcare Advisory Services.

Conduct direct interaction with clients: written, verbal, and face-to-face.

Become familiar with ARUP’s role in the healthcare industry both strategically and operationally.

Report market trends by reading appropriate publications, interacting with clients, prospects, and Account Executives.

Gather information for the performance of relating to market share and market potential parameters and any other information relating to our clients’ businesses.

Perform market research projects as needed.

Perform consultation projects as needed.

Gather market information to be used in developing clinical services and providing information to clients about their marketplace.

Collect, assimilate, and distribute industry and competitor information as it relates to clients’ markets and as described in procedures.

Be an active participant in the marketing of Healthcare Advisory Services both internally and externally.

Develop measures to monitor the effectiveness of Healthcare Advisory Services’ engagements.

Perform activities as they apply to Healthcare Advisory Services’ projects and are assigned by the Director of Healthcare Advisory Services.

Assist with training and mentoring of Consultants and Associate Consultants.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Other Requirements:

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.

PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies. 

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Travel: Ability to travel off-site 30% of time
