Overview:

The Healthcare Compliance Specialist would be responsible for providing assurance through monitoring and providing recommendations to the local Compliance officers, ensuring procedures related to Medical or promotional activities are complete and accurate.

In addition, the HC Compliance Specialist will support development of the compliance framework and foster a culture of integrity and ethical business practices, consistent with the Roche values and external requirements.

The Opportunity:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of business processes (including Healthcare Professionals, Healthcare Organizations, Grants, Donations and Sponsors) across affiliates migrated from different divisions (Pharma, Diagnostics, Diabetes Care), ensuring compliance with Industry Codes, Roche Group Directives, and local policies.

  • Conduct compliance monitoring activities based on reporting data and selected samples; maintain detailed records, communicate findings to local Compliance Officers, and escalate issues with resolution plans when necessary.

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with affiliates and collaborators at all levels to enhance service satisfaction, identify process gaps and simplifications, and recommend re-training opportunities for staff.

  • Support local Compliance Officer training as needed, while proactively driving improvements, mitigating risks, and ensuring timely alignment with Compliance Managers.

Who you are:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal or a related field, with at least 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial, internal audit, or compliance; Healthcare industry and Finance/Process Audit experience are a plus.

  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, technical, auditing, and project management skills, with solid experience in leading change, negotiating, and managing complex initiatives.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and professional, with strong team-building, conflict resolution, decision-making, and customer service skills.

  • Able to communicate, influence, and lead effectively at all levels in both English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus); proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
