The Health Information Technician is a valuable member of our Health Informatics team who is physically located on-site at the Health Department, the Health Information Technician (HIT) and serves as the primary point of contact for Health Information Management (HIM). Under minimal supervision, the HIT plays an important role in ensuring that patients utilizing Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center’s diverse programs are treated with courtesy, and that their needs are met in an efficient and timely manner. The HIT will process, maintain, and release medical records in compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements and agency policies; perform Quality Assurance audits; generate reports; and maintain Master Patient Index integrity.
Scheduled Hours: 37.5 hours per week
