Health Informatics Specialist, Full-time

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Health Informatics Specialist.

A Health Informatics Specialist plays a crucial role in healthcare by bridging the gap between clinical staff and IT systems. Demonstrates a working knowledge of departmental workflows. Develops training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff. Serves as an organization resource for EHR troubleshooting, support, and continuing user proficiency.

Position available: Full-time, Days, 40 hrs/wk

Responsibilities:

• Develops and provides initial and as needed training for clinical and non-clinical staff
• Maintains knowledge of updates and changes within Cerner
• Submits service and change request tickets to Cerner
• Maintains regulatory requirements for MIPS
• Assists in Quality performance improvements
• Reporting and auditing of quality metrics

Skills:

Education/Experience:

• RN Strongly Preferred
• Strong knowledge of Cerner clinical and non-clinical workflows
• Experience in training and orientation of staff
