Schedule: Supplemental hours, Evening Shifts (3pm - 11 pm, requires one Saturday (may vary) each month)
Primary Responsibility: Focus for this role is on virtual childbirth education, ensuring accessibility for families both within and outside the community.
Consults directly with individual patients and their families to help them understand the medical care they are receiving. Oversees the provision of materials, resources and training programs. Identifies, enlists and coordinates internal and external resources. Evaluates program effectiveness using customer feedback and measures of increased knowledge and modifies if necessary.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Promotion; Health Education or related area required. Masters Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Travel to external sites in Indiana may be required.
• Demonstrated experience in developing health education programs with specific objectives; methods and measurable outcomes.
