An employee in this classification assists the Lead Health Educator II and other health department staff in aspects of a comprehensive health education program, in selected community assessments and research, teaching specific health education classes, making minor modifications to previously developed training packets based on the specific audiences, and in assisting with development of educational information. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated through conferences and reports as to the overall effectiveness of the program.
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in health education; or graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of experience in public health education; or an equivalent combination of training or experience.
