Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Maaori organisation delivering integrated health and social services to the wider Counties Manukau and ADHB area. We provide quality, accessible and affordable health care and support to whaanau.

We’re seeking a community minded individual with a genuine passion for empowering others where ever their journey takes them. Our Health Coaches work to support whaanau on their health and well being journey by connecting them with resources and acting as a liaison between patients and their dedicated GP and Nursing team. Our team work with whaanau that have long term illnesses and aim to motivate and encourage them to make positive lifestyle changes by reducing high-risk behaviours and managing stress levels. Our Health Coaches adopt a whaanau ora model approach that best supports patients’ needs and goals. This is a part time position.

Your experience and skills will include:

• Experience working in the Health and/or Social Services environment
• Proven ability to deal with a complex and changing environment
• Previous experience working within the health and well being space would be an advantage (nutrition, personal training etc)
• Experience working alongside whaanau with a multicultural background 
• Relationship building skills
• Have an empathetic, caring and nurturing nature
• Accurate administration and data entry experience 
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills
• Professional presentation and an excellent work ethic
• NZ Full Drivers Licence
• The ability to speak Te Reo Maaori or another language would be an advantage
