WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


The Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) for the LAAC therapy in Colombia plays a fundamental role in providing clinical support during left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) procedures. This includes ensuring proper device use, ongoing education of healthcare teams, and responsible expansion of the therapy nationwide. This role is key in supporting the safe, effective, and sustainable adoption of LAAC Device.


Main Responsibilities
•    Provide live clinical support during implant procedures at hospital centers in Colombia.
•    Educate physicians, nurses, and cath lab staff on instructions, procedural technique, and post-implant follow-up.
•    Actively participate in training, certification, and ongoing education programs for healthcare professionals.
•    Support the sales team in identifying new opportunities for adoption and expansion of the therapy.
•    Contribute to market development through educational events, clinical workshops, and therapy awareness activities.
•    Maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, electrophysiologists, interventional cardiologists, and cath lab coordinators.
•    Ensure compliance with Boston Scientific’s highest ethical, regulatory, and patient safety standards.
•    Collect and report clinical data and relevant field feedback to inform local strategy.


What We Are Looking For
Must Have:
•    Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or related field.
•    English level: B1- B2.
•    Clinical experience in cath labs, electrophysiology, or implantable devices.
•    High availability to travel across Colombia (up to 70% of the time).
•    Exceptional communication skills for interaction with diverse healthcare professionals.
•    Commitment to ongoing medical education and clinical excellence.
•    Ability to work independently and within teams, detail-oriented focus.


Nice to Have:
•    Based in Bogotá or a city with access to high-complexity hospital centers.
•    Previous experience supporting structural therapies or left atrial appendage closure devices.
•    Experience leading medical training or clinical certification programs.
•    Commercial acumen or understanding of new technology adoption processes in Colombia.
