Job Description
We are looking for a Clinical Specialist to support the adoption and clinical success of our Infection Prevention (IP) MedTech portfolio in hospitals. You will partner with clinical teams to drive best-practice implementation, deliver education and in-servicing, support evaluations, and provide post-install clinical follow-up to ensure outcomes, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Medical/Quality teams and operates within a regulated environment. Clinical Specialist will be responsible for Czech ,Slovakian, Hungarian market and cooperation with HCP`s and Sales Teams.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Implementation & Customer Success
- Lead clinical onboarding, workflow assessment, and implementation planning for Infection Prevention solutions across hospital departments (e.g., ICU, OR, ED, wards, CSSD/sterile processing).
- Deliver product training and in-services for clinical staff, infection preventionists, nursing leadership, EVS/environmental services, and other stakeholders.
- Provide on-site and remote clinical support during trials/evaluations, go-lives, and early adoption phases.
- Ensure correct product usage aligned with IFU, hospital protocols, and relevant guidelines.
Clinical Education & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with key hospital stakeholders: Infection Prevention/Control teams, nursing, microbiology, ICU/OR leaders, quality and patient safety, procurement, and biomedical engineering.
- Support the development and delivery of educational materials, best-practice toolkits, and competency checklists.
- Present clinical value and workflow impact in a clear, evidence-based manner, adapting to different audiences.
Evidence, Outcomes & Value Demonstration
- Support collection and documentation of clinical feedback and outcomes measures (where appropriate): compliance, workflow efficiency, adoption metrics, and qualitative/quantitative value.
- Assist in creating and delivering clinical value narratives (clinical evidence summaries, pathways, protocols) in collaboration with Medical Affairs/Product Marketing.
- Identify barriers to adoption and propose practical workflow solutions.
Pre-Sales Clinical Support (as applicable)
- Provide clinical input into account strategy: stakeholder mapping, discovery support, and solution fit assessments.
- Support product demonstrations from a clinical standpoint and contribute to proposal/tender inputs (clinical sections, training plans, implementation approach).
- Participate in conferences, workshops, and customer events; support KOL engagement where applicable.
Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
- Operate in alignment with regulatory and quality requirements (e.g., MDR/FDA context, internal SOPs).
- Maintain rigorous documentation of training, evaluations, and customer interactions as required.
- Escalate product complaints, adverse events, and safety signals through appropriate Quality channels.
Internal Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Provide structured feedback to Product/Engineering and Quality teams on usability, workflows, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service on account plans, implementation timelines, and support needs.
- Support development of internal training for Sales and new team members on clinical positioning and use-cases.
Success Metrics
- Successful implementations delivered on time and to quality standards
- Training coverage and competency completion rates
- Product adoption and sustained correct usage aligned with IFU
- Customer satisfaction (NPS/CSAT), retention, and renewal support (where relevant)
- Clinical value evidence generated (case studies, site references, feedback)
- Reduction in escalations related to misuse or insufficient training
Required Qualifications
- Clinical background: RN (preferred), or allied health degree; alternatively a relevant scientific/clinical degree with strong hospital practice exposure.
- 3+ years in hospital clinical practice and/or MedTech clinical specialist role (ideally Infection Prevention, ICU/OR, microbiology, sterile processing, EVS, or quality/patient safety).
- Strong knowledge of infection control principles, hospital workflows, and stakeholder dynamics.
- Excellent facilitation and training skills; confident presenting to multiple seniority levels.
- Willingness to travel to hospital sites (often 50–80% depending on territory).
- Fluent English (and local language, if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or strong experience in Infection Prevention (e.g., CIC or local equivalent) or direct work with Infection Control teams.
- Experience supporting evaluations, tenders, or enterprise hospital implementations.
- Understanding of decontamination/sterile processing workflows (CSSD/SPD) and audit requirements.
