Develop and define Ergonomics Technical Input Criteria for vehicle programs.
Apply ergonomic principles and anthropometric data to vehicle design with focus on interior layout, seating, control placement, visibility, and overall user comfort.
Conduct ergonomic assessments using advanced human modeling tools such as RAMSIS, CAVA, CATUI, Viz Mockup, and Teamcenter.
Coordinate with design, packaging, seating, and HMI teams to integrate ergonomic requirements into vehicle architecture.
Identify and resolve ergonomic issues by proposing innovative, practical, and user-focused solutions.
Lead user studies, surveys, and usability tests to collect feedback and enhance interior design.
Ensure all ergonomic designs comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards including FMVSS, ECE, and internal guidelines.
Set and manage PALS and Vehicle Specification criteria related to ergonomics.
Provide clear communication and documentation of ergonomic guidelines, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Support program gateways with ergonomic evaluations and reporting.
Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Human Factors, Ergonomics, or a related field.
8+ years of relevant experience in automotive ergonomics or human factors engineering.
Proven track record in vehicle-level ergonomic development and validation.
Proficiency in ergonomic analysis software such as RAMSIS, CAVA, CATUI, and Viz Mockup/Teamcenter.
Strong knowledge of automotive design principles and vehicle interior architecture.
Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards (FMVSS, ECE, ISO 7250).
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and user-centered design approach.
Effective communication and teamwork skills; experience working with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight development timelines.
